Professor Yasunobu Nakamura (Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, Director of RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing=RQC ) has received the 2021 Micius Quantum Prize from the Micius Quantum Foundation in China. He received the prize jointly with Dr. John Clarke of UC Berkeley and Dr. Michel H. Devoret of Yale University for their leading research on superconducting circuits and quantum bits. In terms of NanoQuine, Professor Hidetoshi Katori (Graduate School of Engineering, RIKEN Principal Investigator/Team Leader) received the same prize in 2020 for his work on optical lattice clocks.
