Professor Eiji Saitoh will receive the 68th Nishina Memorial Prize for 2022, the Nishina Memorial Foundation announced on Thursday, November 10. The Nishina Memorial Prize was established in 1955 to commemorate the achievements of the late Dr. Yoshio Nishina, and is awarded to relatively young researchers who have made outstanding research achievements in atomic physics and its applications. The award will be presented to Professor Saitoh in recognition of his “pioneering contribution in the physics of spin current. The award ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 6, the birthday of the late Dr. Nishina, at Gakushikaikan.
