Professor Masaaki Tanaka and his colleagues at the Graduate School of Engineering, in collaboration with NTT and the Tokyo Institute of Technology, have made the world’s first observation of quantum electrical conduction in exotic quasiparticles, which was achieved by the first observation of electrical conduction in an extremely high-quality SrRuO₃ single crystal thin film produced by NTT at low temperatures and under magnetic fields. These results were published in Nature Communications on 9 October.
