On Thursday, August 18, NanoQuine held the 5th Photonics Innovation (PI) Seminar in the main conference room of the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo. “Optoelectronic integration technology for digital signal processing” was the theme of the seminar, and Prof. Hirohito Yamada of the Department of Communications Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University, and Associate Prof. Satoshi Iwamoto of the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo, were invited to speak on “Digital coherent communication and optoelectronic integration” and “Fundamentals of Photonic Crystals: Their Physics and Numerical Analysis”, respectively, with general contents including tutorial elements, and active question and answer sessions.
