The International nano-optoelectronics Workshop 2015 (iNOW 2015), an international school in the field of nano-photonics, which took place over five days from 3 August, was a great success. Held at the University of Tokyo (Komaba and Hongo campuses) and Tokyo Institute of Technology (Ookayama campus), the event welcomed internationally renowned researchers and promoted research exchange with young researchers and students. In commemoration of the International Year of Light, Professor Hiroshi Amano, the 2014 Nobel Laureate in Physics at Nagoya University, gave a special Nobel lecture entitled “Progress in Ⅲ-Nitride Nanophotonics”. Young researchers and students from all over the world asked enthusiastic questions. More than 110 people from 11 countries participated in the event, making it a very successful international school.
