On May 20th, the 6th Advisory Committee Meeting of the “Collaborative Research Center for Nano Quantum Information Electronics” project was held at Ito International Research Center, Hongo Campus, The University of Tokyo. The meeting was attended by Dr. Leo Esaki, Chairperson of the Advisory Committee, other members of the Advisory Committee, representatives of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Dr. Makoto Gonokami, President of the Center, Dr. Kazuo Hotate, Director and Vice President of the University of Tokyo, Dr. Teruo Fujii, Director of the Institute of Industrial Science, Dr. Yasuhiko Arakawa, director of NanoQuine. In addition, representatives from Sharp, NEC, Hitachi, Fujitsu Laboratories and QD Laser attended the meeting to discuss the future of the project. The opinions of the members of the Advisory Board will be used for future activities.
