Yasutomo Ota, Associate Professor at Keio University, who also serves as Project Associate Professor at the Quantum Innovation Co-Creation Center of NanoQuine, received the ISCS Young Scientist Award on Monday, May 10, at the 47th International Symposium on Compound Semiconductors (ISCS 2021), which was held online in Stockholm, Sweden, from Sunday, May 9 to Thursday, May 13. This award was established in 1986 and is given annually to an outstanding researcher under the age of 40. The award was given to Associate Professor Ota for “Realization of state-of-the-art nanophotonic structures based on compound semiconductors and demonstration of quantum electrodynamic effects and related phenomena”.
