The winners of the 50th (Spring 2021) Young Scientist Presentation Award of the Japan Society of Applied Physics(JSAP) were announced on Wednesday, May 26. Among the menbers of NanoQuine, at the time of the presentation, Ryota Katsumi (D3, currently Assistant Professor at Toyohashi University of Technology) in Iwamoto Laboratory and Kei Takeyama (M2, currently an alumnus) in Machida Laboratory received the award on Monday, May 10. The titles of the presentations are “Transfer-printed integration of quantum dot-nanocavity coupling systems on Si waveguides with fiber pigtails” by Dr. Katsumi and “Observation of resonant tunneling at the subband level in multi-layer WSe2” by Mr.Takeyama. The award ceremony will be held online at the 82nd Autumn Meeting of the JSAP to be held at Meijo University from September 21 (Tuesday).
